		<description>All you really need is a camera which can record an accurate timestamp with each image, and some way of correlating that with NMEA GPS logs. Trekbuddy for any J2ME device with a bluetooth GPS unit will record logs for you, I got a GPS radio for about GBP20 on ebay. 

I did this first time I was in Japan, in fact--I don&#039;t remember what software I used for it, but it was on the mac, for sure. I&#039;ll try and dig it up if you want. 

As for notes, well, I would often just take photos of the plaques next to a display. Pen and paper, maybe?</description>
